Preparing for the Age of Technology

The three fifth grade classes met twice a week for six weeks in the computer lab to participate with teams from 11 schools in the United States, Canada and abroad in the Kids Network sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The project gave students opportunities to develop scientific thinking skills and experience with sophisticated computer and telecommunications applications.

Family Math Evening Workshop Series

This project team of teachers and parents developed and conducted six evening workshops for students and their parents from grades K-5. Families worked together to solve problems at math centers. They could also take home an activity to reinforce the concept presented at the workshop.
