Third Grade Science Colloquia

Eight third grade teachers from Canterbury, Coventry, Boulevard, Noble and Roxboro schools increased their knowledge of the new science curriculum by participating in seminars they designed on molecules and electricity. They translated that knowledge into classroom activities.

The business created a real life learning opportunity for building math, business and work skills. High school tutors worked with a targeted group of third and fourth graders in an after school math class led by a fourth grade teacher and a high school math teacher.
