Center for Education Policy

This national, independent advocate for public education helps Americans "better understand the role of public education in a democracy and the need to improve the academic quality of public education." They conduct research and issue non-partisan reports on many issues including federal education policy.
The Civil Rights Project

This is a research center that examines the impact of public policy, particularly education policy, on civil rights questions. In early 2004 they issued several reports on the civil rights implications of No Child Left Behind.
The Education Trust

This non-profit advocacy organization focuses on K-16 education. They are supportive of No Child Left Behind, and provide very clear information about the provisions of the law and expectations for local school districts.
FairTest
