Finding effective strategies to meet our students’ needs is a school district strength that Reaching Heights has supported since 1991 with the School Team Grant program.
School-based teams may apply for up to $1,500 to support a project that addresses an achievement issue they’ve identified, promotes collaboration, is innovative, and has a measureable impact on student achievement.
Each year teams create an inspiring collage of projects that address achievement issues in classrooms across the district, across grade levels and subjects. While as varied as our students , projects reflect the district’s focus on rigor, relevance and relationships. There is never a lack of great ideas.
Reaching Heights raises funds for these grants from the community through the annual Reaching Heights Adult Community Spelling Bee, donations to the Thank-A-Teacher program and from donor-designated gifts. The DiGeronimo Family Foundation and the Cleveland Heights and University Heights Teachers, Retired, are frequent donors to this grant program.
