Oxford Teachers Appreciated
January 9, 2015
Gratitude is an admirable virtue, but expressing it well is even more important. Students and parents throughout the Cleveland Heights-University Heights city School District have been recognizing teachers, coaches, bus drivers, custodians, security guards, and others through the Reaching Heights Thank-A-Teacher program. "Anyone can fillout the Thank-A-Teacher form and send it in with a donation to Reaching Heights and we will create a special card," explained Lisa Hunt, Assistand Director of Reaching Heights. "We include the words of appreciation from the donor on each card. And those personal expressions of gratitude are priceless to the recipients. They often bring people to tears. Nothing means more than sincere words of thanks. Nothing."
Amanda Delagrange, new Oxford Second Grade Teacher received her first Thank-A-Teacher card in December, 2014. Principal Joseph Nicklos was happy to present it to her.
